Default TRD Exhaust to quiet

So I got the TRD exhaust and well it sounds like nothing. so this is the plan,
hack up brand new 365 exhaust

Take out the old TRD can

Add in a aero muffler

Should still be quiet i started my car with no exhaust can on and its still quiet, but sounds somewhere between 80 RX7 and videogame cars. It is still way way quiet, so i will be ordering a aero this week and putting it inline and keeping the TRD tip.
Bet its the best sounding TRD exhaust on a 08 cause its the only one you can hear. will post pics once the install has been done hell I will post a video.

Not to sound like an ___ but.......you are wasting your money by doing that. The muffler would equate to most of the cost of the exhaust.
Instead maybe look into selling the exhaust system in the classifieds, then take the money from it and go to the exhaust shop and have them build you a custom setup. I went to muffler man on my old car and had them build me a custom mandrel bent system for under $220.
Just my opinion.

yeah well i want the trd tip on it and yeah i did that on my first gen and the muffler alone is 135 so yeah its easier to just to it myself and all that goodness and i just want the trd tip on the aero you know plus htere are no good muffler shops around they all like to rip people off and charge a stupid high amount for 15 mins of work

How long have you had the exhaust? Sometimes it must be "broken" in to get a sound. When i got my borla on my tc it was low and quiet, now its ballin. People hear it and love it. Also if you havent done it, add a CAI, it helps the flow of gases and air, it will actually make the exhaust a lil louder. . Just some advice

OR... you could change out the front resonator for a smaller one. That would give it a little more noise.

Question. . . . .Is it quiet throughout the powe band or does it have some sound on low end? Cuz the top end really doesnt provide a loud sound, mine doesnt neways in the high RPMs.

Voiding factory warranty?? On what... your exhaust system? lol.

If you're concerned about the rest of your vehicle, remember that a dealership cannot void a warranty claim unless they deem the modification directly caused, or aided in causing, whatever issue arises.

mine makes no noise at all like i said it sounds like stock exactly like stock i had a idea to to open it up at one end and pull out the center core and put sheetmetal around half of it so it wouldnt muffle things as bad

That's really weird. I have the TRD axle-back and it doesn't sound anything like the stock system and I wouldn't want it any louder than it is. Have you considered running a straight pipe with a nice tip welded on? Maybe that would be loud enough for you.

I think I know where you're coming from. You wanted something louder than the TRD and were disappointed with it's spl. That's cool with me. My only issue is that when you say that the TRD sounds the same as stock, it's a gross exageration, IMO.

I have the TRD axle-back and I could hear the difference between it and the stock muffler immediately. I will admit that the TRD was pretty quiet at first but have to add that it produced a deeper exhaust note than stock. After a few weeks the TRD became noticeably louder but still not loud enough for some.

It's really a matter of personal taste but the TRD does not sound the same as stock and saying so is misleading to members who might want a good sounding but quiet muffler.

you realize you are sacrificing performance for sound.. if you open the exhaust up to much, your gonna lose some back pressure.

a friend of mine did this on his SVT focus, and it was really difficult to get going from a stop
