Default Cylinder head replacement

Do you have to pull the engine when replacing the cylinder head in a 2010 xb?

They auto manual says you have to remove the engine mounts and drop the oil pan, and practical remove the engine... does anyone have experience with this repair?

I had complete forged internals installed in mine for boost purposes. You do not need to remove the entire motor to replace just the head. Look at some of the people that had their pistons and rings replaced. The motors stayed in the car. The only reason you would need to pull the motor is to get to the crank, or rods.
