Looks interesting
Controlled Power Technologies has come up with a clever technical solution for the problem of ‘downsizing’ engines without compromising driveability and performance – the electrical supercharger. The company’s low cost production-ready variable torque enhancement system (VTES) employs an electrically driven supercharger on demand (within 350 milliseconds) when the driving conditions demand it. The VTES can be implemented on current vehicles, using existing 12 volt electrical architecture, and when used in series with a turbocharger, the 2kW of electrical power translates into 20kW at the crankshaft.

you know i was commenting to my civic friend yesterday, how unlike the civic community, the scion community is very open with each other, and friendly. I was telling him how we usually don't hate on each other like the honda guys, but more so on the boys driving the giant suv's...
back to topic - the electric stupidcharger is a scam..

this isnt really a scam. there was a company a few years back that offered a fully legit system. it was taylored to each car so no fabrication was needed for the consumer. it worked kind of like a nitrous button. i forget the name of the company though and i think they folded after a couple months cause it offered less power than nitrous and was more complicated to install...

VTES can dramatically increase the air charge density over the critical first 10 combustion cycles of a low speed transient operation, delivering real improvements in both torque and emissions performance
