Default throttle body...

i was peeking under the hood and traced a few lines back the the throttle body... it was only a quick glance, but i believe there is a line connected to a radiator line piped into the throttle body. if this is true, i understand that it helps with emmisions... but, has anyone rerouted it to allow for a cooler, more dense air charge going into the engine? if it is coolant going into it to warm the body, which warms the air, wouldn't it be the cheapest mod, assuming it doesn't trip a fault? just wondering

I was just thinking about that tonight. I've done the bypass mod before in the past but this time I'd like to do it better. I'm thinking of using a 'y' valve on either side so I can bypass the TB during the warmer months but allow coolant to warm the TB during the colder months.

Well, seems like I won't be doing this one, rather pointless.

similar question...Whats up with the magnets you put around a fuel line? Ive seen a couple products similar to this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Scion...spagenameZWDVW
that look more performance oriented...cool looking part or valid technology?
Obviously the link above isnt "cool looking"

I doubt that a TB bypass alone would show any measurable HP gain on the dyno but it should cause the ECU to advance the timing curve a bit which could result in a small improvement in response/acceleration.

In any case, a TB bypass will surely do more than that Turbomag crapola.
