was just been curious recently....
it would be nice to have that extra 6th gear for the higher freeway speeds
was just wondering if possible at all or anyone ever think about switching the matrix xrs/celica gts
6spd tranny onto the xb2

im not to knowledgeable about this topic

I used to drive a Sentra Se-R Spec V, so I am hurting without my 6th gear. Our gas mileage would be in the 40 mpg if we could cruise 75 mph in 6th.
I only see this as being a feasable option if they release a 6 speed version of the TC or Camry with the same engine as ours. Trying to mate a tranny from a different motor is possible, but will take a lot of hard work and money.

yea i know the the high rpms at 70+ mph not very fuel efficient
it would be pretty nice to have that 6th gear

I agree with you fully man, but unlikely we will have the opportunity without swapping in like a celica GTS engine and tranny in there.
And even then we are talking about some serious mods to get it in there.

maybe we could swap 5 speed automatic from matrix and get over 30mpg on highway since matrix get 29 mpg w/ 3200 pound curb weight.(xb is around 3000lb)
