Default * Scion xB2 : Custom Gauge Face Under production

HI..
Finally got some template made for xB2
Hardest part is done which is the template and the design/layout...
Next is to put them in prodution to make the final version...

Now I have the stock template, I can implement pretty much any designs...
So far, I've just made 3 design, but designs cab be limitless...

One of the main reason for custom gauge face is that, with stock face, you are only limited to Red back-lit...
Since the amber color on the stock gauge face will filter out most of the color other then red light..
Example, if you put like blue LED on the stock gauge face, it will light up very dim and will be bluish green color....

With new gauge face, it will light up to color of the LED properly...

You can check out final production from other cars like Scion tC and Toyota Celica

Here are some xB2 sample templates...

Dooly,

Very excited to see one installed. I'm assuming these will look like the Celica Gauges. Let me know when they are ready, I really like Style3.

Please e-mail Sean@LEDmod.comf for pricing, since these are custom design, so price varies..

This will be same OEM-grade quality as Celica...
It should be ready in like 3 week, I'll have to do some testing to make sure they are good quality....

Cool Cool.

I see Bat's already got stuff inline for this too. Can't wait for his overlays.

Those look great!.

If you did not do an LED swap and just used your custom gauge faces...what color is the LED's stock? Is it amber or is it something different and the gauge face is making it look amber?

Sorry to be such a noob...just curious if I could get a better look with just faces alone.

Thanks,

Mike

If you keep you stock LED, it will light up amber like the stock gauge face..
Any area that lights up is white, silver, smoke will light up to the LED color that is back-lit...
Those colors are neutral, so back-lit color will just shine through...
So if you have white LED, it will light up white, blue LED, it will light up blue... green LED same way...
Stock gauge face is amber color, so only color that can shine through properly is the red color, other color will just filters it out...

So yes, you can just do gauge face only and it will work with stock amber LED light...

I've just change the color from the style 3 and forgot the change the specification..
But just want to show what difference it can make with simple back ground color change...

Thanks for the help! They look great. Bummer about the stock LED color.

I'll order one of these for sure...I like 1 and 3.1 as posted.

I hope these work out for us xbg2'ers...can't wait!

xB2 gauge face is so long in width, it's kind of hard to work with....
But I think it should be finished by next week....
