Default Anyone have the JL Audio Stealthbox??

I'm possibly looking at adding a little thump in the wifey's ride & wanted something fairly easy to install & remove. What are your thoughts on this product? Here's a link to some info too..

I also heard that there is a stock subwoofer option offered in Japan that sits in the upper cubbyhole of the trunk on the left side I believe. Does anyone know about this? Thanks.

from what I know the Rumion sub does not add much bass for the money

That's a very nice JL Stealthbox for the 2nd gens. I just wish that it didn't cost so much. I can't see paying $649.99 for a 1x12 speaker (non-powered) and molded fiberglass enclosure. Maybe at half the price or if it included a decent amp, I'd be very interested. I hope the price will go down. I may be dreaming though..... lol

Not to jack the thread or anything, but has anyone heard anything (or have any thoughts) about this enclosure?

It's still kinda expensive for just the enclosure (I think at least) and it doesn't look near as good as the JL, but its also a lot less than the JL.

i have the jl stealthbox........unfortunetly its sitting in my garage at the moment. still waiting on the rest of the components for my system. i can say that the box is very nicely built but pricey if you pay the retail. prob the only reason i went with this box was the deal i got on it. should have everything in by next month will keep u guys posted.

I have the JL Audio Stealthbox and it sounds awesome...a little bit boomey at times but with the right controls it should be as loud as you want and as tight as you want it....does create a little bit of plastic vibration. I used damplifier pro onto the whole car because my car rattled so much from the JL and also my Dynaudio.....pushing over 200 watts per channel and only 500 watts to the sub...

Camelback Scion in PHX did my sub enclosure, and it was a little more bluky, but it was a 12" JL and looked way better. You may want to call them and see if you can just buy the box. I thought it was an excellent add.

the stealthbox isn't too bulky....but you do have to drill a dime size hole in the plastic though..... besides that, it is all good in my book!

Looks good bro.. Just one question. How did you wire the JL box up? Did it come with directions to do this? Thanks. Where did you get yours and how much did you pay, if you don't mind me asking.

i paid 500 shipped....and yes it comes with directions on how to bolt down your box...very easy and you don't have to drill into your sheet metal...the hole is already there!...let me know if you need my friends number...he can get it for you!...
