ASL with amp and speakers question???
I have the premium HU and I am running 2 amps...1 on the front door speakers and 1 on the sub.
Is it just me or does the ASL seem to make the speakers really loud when it's turned on? I switch it to OFF and the sound is greatly reduced. I guess I am confused by this. It seems like it should be just as loud when I turn it to the OFF position.
I have 6.5" MB Quart components in the front door running off of a Profile amp.
I have a single JL 12W6V2 running off of a JL 400/1.

ASL is auto sound leveling. When turned on, the programs compensiate for road noise and harness in the cabin by increase the sound level without messing up with the bass or treble level. With it off it doesn't compensiate for anything.
Are you hearing the difference at a dead stop? It shouldn't change when you're at a dead stop or driving really slow.
