Can you use the iPod jack and Aux jack at the same time?
Hey guys, gruff here and it's my first post so hurrah for that. moving on:
i like the idea of a standalone gps instead of an integrated head unit like the avic, because i can take the GPS and put it in my gf's car when she's driving. i use my ipod for music in my xb also. what i would like to do is hook up the headphone jack of the gps unit (i'm looking at the TomTom Go 720) to the aux jack, so i can hear directions and use the bluetooth handsfree through the car's speaker system while leaving my ipod in for the music.
will both work through the aux input of the head unit? are the inputs separate? it would be a huge pain to stop and unplug the ipod every time i wanted to have a phone conversation or listen to some directions.
thanks in advance for the input.

no they will not work, it's either one or the other. hope your gps unit has a speaker built in.. the head unit does have a pause button, so you just have to pause the ipod. or plug them both in, and toggle between inputs... but no they will not work together at the same time. you can either use ipod or aux or tuner or sat, but not a combo of any 2 ore more at once.
