Got a crazy deal on some Dynamat extreme...what should I do?
I was going to buy 4 sq ft, but the lady at crutchfield found some scratch/dent (box damage): 12 sq ft for $50.
So...The car is getting a 12" sub in a custom box I am building. I was going to deaden the liscense plate, behind each speaker, and the HVAC vent in the front (gets hot from engine). That is not even close to 12 sq ft. What else should I hit? It is not nearly enough for the whole car, but where will it do the most good?

I am not sure, but 12sqft is not a whole lot. Extreme is supposed to be very thick, so one layer should be enough any where. I am for doing the whole front door.
Here is my project. SO far almost 2 rolls of raammat

I started to follow the links and came upon that one. Thanks.
Seems like http://www.secondskinaudio.com/ came out on top.

yep, according to this one it came at as #1 if money is no object.... Raammat seems to be the best value.
I do believe that he is working on a new showdown. not sure when but will be nice to see.
I have to say, I bought some raammat for the first time and customer service was awesome and Rick the owner is awesome to deal with.

Glad someone had the link to the sound deadener showdown. I read that and bought raammat afterwards and am glad I did. Excellent product, easy to use, great customer service. what more can you ask for??

I decided to give the sub a little help...
This is the back of the hatch panel...1.5 layers (2 in middle, 1 on edges) of Dynamat Super, plus the original deadening glued back in place.
I am going to do the door speaker areas and the HVAC intake later.

Wow! I am really amazed; I just installed the deadened panel and it really made a huge difference!
The sub hits harder, but the main benefit is that is it much cleaner and punchier.
FYI, this is a 12" Pioneer running 150w RMS in a custom sealed enclosure; it is aimed directly at this back panel.
