Default PT546-00140 Installed - Works but NO SOUND

*** UPDATE *** FIXED THE ISSUE see later post for pics and the remedy.

I installed a PT546-00140 Pioneer Touchscreen from a 2014 FRS into my 2010 Scion xB. I used these parts:

GENUINE SCION PT546-74120-MC BT MICROPHONE KIT FIT 2012-2015 SCION
Genuine Scion Accessories PT546-00120-CH Wire Harness 28 to 20 pin Adapter
Metra 40-LX21 Antenna Adapter to Radio Toyota / Scion ***** this is the problem part ***
**** USE THE OEM ANTENNA ADAPTER ****

Genuine Scion Reverse Backup Camera T-Harness + Rear View Camera

The unit comes on, the radio tunes in stations, my Note 3 phone connects via bluetooth and transfered all my contacts and accessed my music. Everything works but NO SOUND from speakers. I've double and triple checked the connections. I'm stumped. I know a lot of Scion owners have installed this same deck so I know it will work. Anyone ever had an issue like this? I've seen one other thread about this and sent a message.. no reply.

I plan to install this into a 2012 xb; do I need to get all 3 of these? or is it just the antenna adapter I need?
thanks!

Based upon how I read the original post, you DON'T want the Metra Antenna Adapter and you should use the OEM antenna adapter...

Default Parts that I have used for installing Scion HU

Below is a list of parts and part numbers I used on several 2008 - 2012 Scion xB that I installed the touchscreen Scion HU from newer cars.
"NO SOUND" issues are associated with some aftermarket antenna adapters. The first install I used the cheaper antenna adapter and it cost me several days of searching for the cause of no sound from the speakers... everything else worked... then I used the OEM / Scion antenna conversion kit listed below... problem solved..
This parts list is a few years old .. not sure it these part numbers still work at a Toyota dealer but Amazon usually has them. I've also seen all these parts come in one big kit for MUCH LESS $$ than buying each part separately. I recommend searching for the kit first....
Hope this helps... FYI... 2010 Scion xB. 300K miles and running strong. TRD lowering springs, Hotchkiss rear swaybar, crossdrilled / slotted rotors and ceramic pads front and back. Cold air intake. Best work truck ever!

FYI... when searching Amazon for these parts you have to enter your vehicle info as a 2015 Scion xB... these touchscreen HU did not come installed in older xB's so Amazon will not return any results if your car is listed as a 2010 for example...

Hope this helps. George

Do you know if I need all these harnesses or would I just need the antenna adapter?
old is my current HU, new is the touchscreen one. the top connectors on the new unit has the same corresponding ones as my old one, only the bottom two left connectors don't have (the right most also has)

old

new with touchscreen
