So, the headunit, Sat antenna plus steering control all installed. Just not that crazy with the OEM sound quality. I don't need too much bass (prob will get amp and an 8" sub) later. In the interim, wondering what aftermarket fronts/tweeters and side speakers you guys suggest?

Look into the Hertz line up of component and coaxial speakers. Even their inexpensive component speaker setups have amazing sound quality.

Need a little more info from ya. Are you gonna change anything else out in the vehicle or is everything else staying stock? Are you going to add an amp to run the speakers or just use the head unit to power it? As the first guy said, Hertz is a great brand and has some great options through out their line. The second guy talking about c5 jl speakers are a great option as well if you are going to amp them, but I would never run them off a head unit. Also do you have a budget in mind?

I wasn't sure from your first post if you put in an aftermarket head unit or if you were saying you were happy with stock one. If it's aftermarket then which one did you use?

This : Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com

it sounds a little better than before, but think I need some new speakers, oems just too muffled to me no matter how I adjusted the EQ.

As of now, just powered by the headunit, as mentioned not needing something too loud to blow my eardrums, just a little more clarity and and some bass, very likely will run an amp with cross overs all mid and treble go to all door panel speakers and let the sub do the job, budget for door panel speakers, subs, and amps probably will be grand or as low as possible.

ilocano671xb2, from the sticky, I will be needing a mounting bracket, would this work? http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1208281...-Brackets.html

So, I got 4 of these installed, the treble and mid ranges had definitely improved. Then again, I find the bass is slightly lacking. I decided to remount the OEM bass driver back to front seats. The riveted have been drilled out for the replacement. What sort of bolt and nuts have you used to provide a good fit without any vibration?

Where can i find info on the stock system for the 2015 Xb? When i bought the car, the sales rep was super hyped saying that integrating new audio into it is a breeze. Mentioned there are preouts in the kick panel that allow simple sub install and what not.

I don't mind the stock headunit and would rather keep it. I say this because i don't want to mess with the bluetooth audio as people can hear me just fine when I use it. This is not the case in my mini. However, this is also because i've highly modified it and the engine noise is a lot more noticeable.
