Grrr... I wish I could scrape together the cabbage for a xA before it goes away. I'm not sure I like the t2b. The one thing that gives me hope is everyone saying Scion listened to the owners. Means in 6 years the next xB or xA/D/whatever, might be my words getting through... Scion... listen to me. We need retro 70's pimp styling!!! Leopard print carpet should be an EXTERIOR mod!

Size = basically the same as the current xB..we are talking only a few inches different here and there. The nose is probably the biggest difference from certain views. Of course it has to be longer to have the new powerplant.
lil bigger than the current...alot smaller than the element
interior fit and finish is probably one of the best in that class of car...or even better.

Here's what I saw on the 2008 Scion xB:
Exterior: 5 Axis body kit (will be available thru the dealer)
19" Volks (bronze) with 235-35-19 five lug rims
Four Wheel Disc Brakes (poss. from the Celica)
'06 Camry door handles
Turn signals in the mirrors
Basic front and rear T2B morphed with the xB on the sides (the rear
most side glass is gone now)
Lowering Springs
Ambiant temp sensor in front of the condensor
Headlights: Projector on the outside (highs)
Low beam bulbs you can see and they're 9006's
turn signal bulbs on the inside 1157's
Black background like the tC's
Taillights: Kind of look like the T2B but they stick out about 1/2 inch
They're RED
Reverse light 3" round and located on driver's side rear bumper
Engine: 2.4L (we got the model to open the hood for us and Troy[from 5
axis] ran over to close it but I still got a good look)
Interior: tC Key with the fob built into the key
Cupholders are flared into the lower pockets (one in each door)
Armrest
Doorlock built into the center of the door latch
Shifter is raised like the Matrix (the one I saw was an Automatic)
Larger Cargo Area also flush when you open the door (not stepped
like on our xB's)
Cargo space under rear seats
Sound System: Speakers :tweeters on the backside of where the mirror
mounts like on the lexus
Speaker in each door
Double Din Radio
Steering Wheel Controls

Someone asked earlier... Yes, the speakers in the rear doors are mounted quite low, similar to the current front speakers. All four doors have cupholders at the bottom.
Also, I just posted this in the xD topic.
I am hearing conflicting engine specs. It looked a lot like the 2.4 from the tC, but someone else said he saw the sticker under the hood and it identified the engines of both vehicles to be the 2ZR-FE...1.8.
When questioned directly, Mark Templin did not confirm the engine size.

so... nobody's said whether this pic does it justice...
is the new c-pillar raked so far forward like in this pic? Is the back of the car flat like the box?
is the front clip similar to the great wall xb?
are there any similarities?

Everything behind it looks way different.
The back is still vertical, and mostly flat.

The Great Wall CoolBear is like a current xB with new bumpers and a bodykit. The 2008 xB is a completely different vehicle.
And to answer the burning question in everyone's mind, the OS handles fold up when not in use.
The model on display had dual exhaust.

When I saw it last night my mouth dropped. I thought it was sick and told one of my club members that was with me "im gettin it!". I decided that within 1 sec and going to say bye bye to my RS 2.0 xB. Im callin my dealership monday to put me down for one.

How much bigger was the cargo area as far as the floor footprint goes? Roughly comprable to what current vehicle?
Was the dash/intstrument panel as tricked out with lights and bizzarro steering wheel as the photos of the T2B concept or a bit more subdued like the current XB?

Cherrybox, the windshield, frontpillars and roofline in your first pic above look really close, the doors look about right, but the side windows gently taper toward the rear so the trailing edges are not as tall as the leading edges of each one. The rear door does have the two-piece glass, one fixed, just like the old xB, but the 'bar' between them is thin and slanted instead of vertical.
Cargo area was flat floored with maybe an inch rise above the lower edge of the hatch. It appeared to be maybe 6 inches deeper, but it was really difficult to tell from my angles.
Overall size in my very rough estimation is maybe roofline 3 inches lower, body maybe 4 inches wider, and overall length maybe 6 inches longer than "classic xB."
The front and rear body plastic on the green Chinese box above aren't totally correct in detail, but give a very good 'feel' for the look.
I figure with nearly 300 sets of eyeballs looking at these two new vehicles, if we compile what each of us saw, we aught to be able to pretty well describe it by the time it is officially released in 60 days. :D
