Default Broken 08' xB antenna

To start off this is my first car. I don't know how to modify a vehicle yet, but I sure don't want to pay $500 to fix this issue. What I believe is someone literally pulled my antenna out breaking the antenna off. I want to fix the situation and install a shark fin (Another OEM is okay too!) myself. From what I seen most modification have an antenna that isn't broken and a simple unscrew, bolt and glue process is all that is needed. However, by the attachment point for the shark fin being damaged, I don't know if this will induce interferences across my frequencies. Please if you can help with advice I'd greatly appreciate it. My questions to ask are..1.) Will this be considered as base damage? 2.) Do I need to buy another OEM set, remove the old broke OEM antenna assembly, and install a new assembly to install a shark fin? 3.) Can I simply install the shark fin without another OEM purchase and just use a smaller bolt w/ washer to fit and hold down the shark fin? 4.) What are the average prices of a good shark fins (I'm getting $75-$125)?

I'm going to say no, that base isn't going to work for a shark fin anymore. I could be wrong though as I still have the stock antenna.

I may still have my OEM antenna laying around since mine is shaved.
