How many Miles are on your xB2?
#282
The small business I work for bought this 2009 xB in June of 2008 with 194 miles on the odometer. My boss man has driven it all over the southeast and has been pretty hard on the car, but it's still running the original engine, which has never had the valve cover or oil pan off. I've changed the oil every 10k miles with Mobile 1. The automatic transmission has been rebuilt once so far. The ignition coils were changed under warranty. I've changed the spark plugs once. Replaced the serpentine belt, alternator, water pump, and belt tensioner once so far. I replaced the blower for the A/C system, and the blower speed control switch also got changed recently. It's running the original struts, which still ride great. All in all, I have been thoroughly impressed with this car. That's why I bought my 2009 xB (same color, but a 5-speed) with less than 50k miles three weeks ago!

My Scion
Bought my Scion this year, it has ~267,500 on it. She runs like a new car still, only thing I've had to do in the last 4,000 miles was an oil change and put air in a tire. Just threw some HIDs in, and took off the bra from the front. I've got some specs to sand off and repaint, but it'll be fun.
You'd never believe she was running 267k...

thats the post. basically you have to put some cushion between the windshield and the plastic windshield "guard" beneath the hood. hope this makes sense and helps you out.

My bossman's '09 now has over 446,000 (the one with the odometer shown at 419k in my post above) and my personal '09 has just over 54,000. I'm really enjoying mine as a daily driver!

With 66k, my xb2's engine is burning a quart of oil every 1500 miles. The dealer did an oil consumption test. Now they're recommending an engine rebuild. I told them to use synthetic oil since the beginning. They refused to because they said the engine doesn't require it. Luckily I bought an extended warranty.

Drives as good as NEW
I've had my 2008 xb since November 2007. As of today, I have 179,643 miles. Woohoo!! This is THE best car I've ever had (and I got my first car, a 1980 Toyota Celica in 1985!!).
I've planned for a couple years now that when it's time to get a new car, I'm getting another xb. Joining the forum today, I saw posts re the end of the xb. Is this true???? It figures, if I like it, it gets discontinued. Just like my favorite shade of lipstick, and ETC. Jeez Louise.

70,000 km 35,000 miles . Lots of long haul trips from Vancouver BC to Los Angeles . Breaks are done so are my Falken 452's . Zero problems , just a floor mat that broke apart . They covered it , gave me all four new . Bought 2011 / aug 09 . 2012 XB . Not one scratch or ding . A few tiny rock chips from the I-5 .
