Default A Miami winner "speaks out"

OK for all of us out there who didn't get to go to Miami, this was just posted on Autoblog.com

http://chicago-auto-show.autoblog.co...roduct-reveal/

Though I still think we won't know what they look like until NAIAS next month, this description gives us some eyewitness facts about the new vehicles. I'm still holding out and think the Auris will look quite a bit like the xD, though the unnamed witness says otherwise. Time will tell, and so we wait.

I just wish I could have seen "Dwight - Assistant (to the) Regional Manager" in person!

There were a few things wrong with this report.

The wheels on the box were 19s not 18s.

and the engine cover read Dual VVT-i

We all had such a blast. I limped away injured and sick and still had the time of my life.

The report seems fully accurate with the exception of the 19" wheels.

And Mark Templin did say that no one would see the cars for the next 60 days. That means no NAIAS.

Very interesting. I was told by a nameless reliable source that they would debut at NAIAS.

I swear, if I had to wait another freakin two months for pics I'll go crazy. This has got to be some kind of a record for the 21st century in the time between the revealing and showroom arrival (Well maybe the Kia Rondo wins that award... Where the heck did that thing come from??).

What ever happened to those dealer employed benefits (not to mention that I own one as well )?

I guess it will only taste that much better when they are revealed!

Mark Templin said "You better look now cause the covers will be put back on the cars & you won't get to see them for another 60 days"

yep, then they covered them when someone was taking pics, and we know that thing had a body kit and aftermarket exhaust/wheels, I'm wondering and hoping that those heads and tails don't come factory

I really liked the headlights . . . what did you not like about them? i thought they were aggressive and in line with the rest of toyota's lineup of headlights, look at the new 4runner, camry, solora, and other toyotas and you'll see that they are moving that way, with projectors and graphite look to them . . .
