New Here
Hey guys I'm new here and I got to say I am excited about the xB my wife and I just purchased. I was never really a Scion follower because I have only driven V8's for my toy cars. Since I had my son I haven't been able to get a toy car until we just got this new to us 2010 Scion xB. It needs some work because of previous owner neglect and stupidity when they modified it.
Issues that need to be fixed:
-Rear Bumper Dent
-Hole In Dash under radio
-Piece of wood attached to radio for some unknown reason
-holes drilled in silver trim pieces
-screwed up hubcaps
-in desperate need of claybar and wax
Issues Fixed:
-Bondo and Painted Trim Pieces
-Rims purchased and installed
Things to come:
-Paint TC Cement Color
-New head unit for radio
-Exhaust
-Intake
Future: (once motor blows)
-Turbo
-New Block
-New Transmission
Now here are some pictures

Welcome aboard! Love the new rims. As for the trim pieces, often you'll find totalled XB's on craigslist so you can probably get replacement parts from there if you want. Also keep an eye (or post) on this forum's for sale/wanting to buy section.
"screwed on hubcaps" and "piece of wood attached to the radio" - seriously?! That's bad but to be honest, there are worse offenders out there. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! :D
Enjoy the reliability of this thing.

Welcome to the Club....The wheels looks very tasteful.
Grille is interesting.
xB's are fun. You'll enjoy this one. At least the hole under the radio is a cheap replacement trim part. I'm curious about the wood attachment.. LoL
Have fun, and keep us posted on progress..

Those aren't too bad to fix up. Like midtowndesi said there is much worse. For the bumper you can order pre-painted replacement ones for $200-250 online. The hole under the dash is fortunately in a small replaceable trim panel. If you pull the radio trim off you'll see that it snaps out separately from the dash. Just keep an eye open at junk yards for it or even just order it from one of the online dealership sites.

Guys thanks for all the helpful hints. I am really looking forward to modifying this car. What springs are available for under 500 dollars. I am going to look for the rear bumper at my local junk yard this weekend. Any one here from maryland?

A few notes:
- The piece below the radio runs about $50 shipped online, but it should be super cheap if you find one at a salvage yard. The part number is 5542212230B0.
- Springs depend a lot on your preference, but I'm a huge fan of Tanabe NF210's; it's a mild drop and you dont sacrifice ride quality. Here's my opinion on suspension upgrades.
- I would recommend against messing with an intake and/or exhaust; it's a moderate investment for little to no gain. These are well tuned engines and there's pretty much nothing to gain unless you jump to forced induction.

They are drag d35r I believe. And k1114 thank you for that. I am just looking for show right now so exhaust and intake is mostly for sound. I will be replacing motor and trans after we have another child and wait about a year.
