what i heard at the dealer 2008
i went to take a test drive of an xb and the dealer said that his manager just returned from Texas, where he had a "special" showing of the new xb and an xd. He only could say that he was told it was still a box but rounded. i didn't ask about the xd.
i know thats hardly any news but i think knowing people are getting a preview of the xb and they have the concepts in Texas is worth passing on. (yes i know it may not even be called an xb but thats what he called it)
YOUR MISSION IF U CHOSE TO ACCEPT IT.
INFILTRATE THE TOYOTA PLANT WITH CAMERA AND GET ME A PICTURE IF IT EXISTS.
GOOD LUCK AND THIS POST WILL SELF DESTRUCT IN 5, 4. 3..... RUN !!!!

the manger was the one who went to Texas and saw it and what he saw was passed on to me from a sales guy. yes i know it is not first hand information and i am sorry i wasn't clear on who said what to me.
i really debated even posting what i heard but i know people want every crumb of info that is out there.

The Dealer Principals got to see clay models of the new xB and xD in Texas about a month or two ago. It was the National Dealer Meeting. They also got hands on with the new Tundra you mentioned earlier and some other things.
You'll see the new Scions "at a major auto show early next year" (that will probably mean the Chicago Auto Show in early February).
All my owner could tell me was that the front end of the new xB shares many similarities with the t2b concept from last year. The back end is totally new and different though.
Oh, at the moment, all Scions will continue to be built in Japan. TMMTX (the Texas plant) is building only the new Tundra for the moment as was previously stated.
Hope that helps clear things up.

This 4x4 course is constructed with 440 cubic yard of dirt and 20 tons of gravel designed to highlight the many features, advantages and benefits of the 4x4 Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Tundra and FJ Cruiser. Individuals that are 18 and older with a valid drivers license can drive. The off-road course features such obstacles as moguls, logs, sand pits and berms. There will also be a hill climb, acceleration run and evasive lane change. Test drives will take place in the south parking lot around the building.
