I just got a Stingray Metallic. I really like it but thought it would be more blue with the right lighting.

The color is all over the place. At night it looks really gray and in the mornings it looks blue. Wasnt sure if i liked it at first, but it has really grown on me. Have to see it in person.

Actually, I think pictures don't do the color justice. I love the semi-chameleon effect that the color has. One of these days I'm going to take mine out for a real photo shoot and try to capture it...

That's the effect that I'm not seeing. To me, it either looks gray or blue-gray but I'm not seeing the cool chameleon kinda effect that I saw in the pictures some people have posted of theirs. It might just be due to the huge amount of smoke blocking the sun here in Southern Oregon from the fires raging in California.

What does everone think the best color for rims would be on this. I have been looking for a while now. I think i want a solid black wheel on this. No stainless lip. Just a solid black rim.
Any opinions?

When I took mine, it didn't have the wheel covers on yet and it looked pretty good with the black wheels aside from the fact that they were steelies. I think black would look nice and I think gunmetal would look nice. Pretty much any color but gold or bronze.

I think the Stingray Metallic is a nice rich color. I vote for a high gloss gunmetal, hyper-black or black chrome.

It's a darker chrome; not silver, but usually not as dark as gunmetal.

It's not shiny like a polished chrome or polished black chrome, but it's not a matte finish either (like regular alloy wheels).

Maybe some pictures will help.

I'm thinking about putting 16" Konig Incident wheels on mine but I can't find their weight anywhere. I'm also not sure if they would look good as a 16" with the stock tires on them.

Personally I think 16's look too small against the large/tall slab sides on the xB2, and the large radius wheel openings.

I'm sure that 16x7 Konig wheels will have no weight problems, especially with the design of this particular wheel. Additionally, you won't have any problems with the stock tires on a 7" wide wheel. Why not a 17x7 or 18x7.5?

If you call a local America's Tire Company, or send an email to Tires Direct, they can tell you the weight of the various sizes.

The idea was to save money by using the same tires. I'll probably just hold off on getting new wheels/tires at least until the stock tires wear out. I want new ones but I keep convincing myself I dont need them so I can save the money instead.

I understand the whole saving $$ thing. I wanted to get new wheels right away also, but I'm waiting for the stock tires to wear out first. The longer you wait, the more time & opportunity you'll have to look at different wheels, and decide what style & finish you like best.
