Default Air ride question- need help

I have a 2008 xB and just recently installed an Airlift digital air ride kit on the car. The front end makes a weird creak noise whenever I go over a bump. It is not a clunk in the top hat because I made sure everything is tight and bolted down. You can feel the vibration in the fender and it almost sounds like something is shifting back and forth. Has anyone had this problem before?

Yep. Airlift has said it's 'normal'. My buddy's did the same thing and a bunch of other people had the same problem.

May call Airlift with your concern.

Thanks Severed. I will try contacting them again. The first time I talked to them, they told me they had never heard of it.

Fuggin liars. My buddy's would pause while going up until after a certain pressure, like there was some binding somewhere, then pop and be fine.

The creak could also possibly be the sway bar mounts.

Mine does that same pausing thing, except it is when I am going down. It will pause and once the pressure gets low enough, it's a violent drop to the right height.

That really doesn't seem right to me, but they seem to not really care.

One of my buddy's rear bags blew the first day he drove the car after I installed. The bag slipped off of the top mount. He emailed Airlift and they sent him out a replacement with a return label. I was peeved that they didn't next day air it to him.

I have the airlift kit installed as well. Mine makes the same popping noise but it's when I'm aired out and airing back up. For this reason I keep it on manual because the auto rise doesn't actually hit the PSI, but once it pops then it will air up to correct height
