Default Raceland Coils for us xB2 guys..

Edit: I got a call from Raceland saying Scion xB coilovers are now available. Since I emailed about 2nd Generation I though they were talking about 2nd Generations. They weren't! 1st Generation Scion xB Raceland coilovers are what's available not 2nd! Sorry for the false alarm.

Just wondering if anybody here would be interested in Raceland Coilovers for our xB2's for around 300 bucks? I was reading through the xD sections and showed that they are trying to get Racelands then hopped over to the tC section and read a bunch of threads about Racelands,
then just said what the heck ill check out their site and saw their coils are only 300 bucks! O.O whaat! lol. I decided to send them an email to see if they are planning on doing some coilovers for us xB guys and this is what I have gotten in response.

Unfortunately we do not have a coilover kit that will fit the xB. There have been many requests for this and upper management is seriously considering making 1st and 2nd Gen xB coilovers. Once the decision is made the production time to market will be 8 months or more.

We are anxiously waiting for their decision as well, so we're pushing for them internally too.

Sincerely,
Raceland USA

Leave a comment on what you think about getting some coils for us for 300

I'm sure they'll be okay, I'm just iffy because they're not full TAP.

They appear to only be spring preload adjustable. It technically makes the your car adjustable. But the lower you go, the less suspension travel you'll have.
I'm on the fence, really. They seem pretty alright. But I'd rather spend that cash towards the K-Sport or BC Racing's.

racelands are no good IMO. I would stick too ksport or teins. suspensions is something you should never cheap out on. Its your life you're toying with.

From raceland usa

Our Scion xB 2nd generation coilover kit will be out later this year. Since these coilovers are not in production yet, we do not have much information as of now. They are going to be height adjustable only, like our current struts, we are not sure of the spring rate and adjusting range. We should have more information about this kit in the next couple months. If you have any other questions please let us know.
Sincerely,
Raceland USA

This could be interesting, but generally these low cost coilovers won't have good valving. But if you want a slammed ride, I guess these could be "okay". Ride quality won't be good (or won't be the "best it possibly could be") and I wouldn't trust these at a track event.

Honestly no matter how many tc owners have racelands and say they run them with no problems, I will never by a set of coilovers new for 300. Base that price off every good set of coilovers like teins or ksports or whatever, its bogus. usually if somethings too good to be true, it is

I have had my raceland coilovers for a while .. for everyone one that are saying they are cheap and rather spend their money on something the cost 3 times as much. Well OK do that..

For the ones that just want to have some solid made coilovers and adjust their ride height and be backed by a company that has the great customer service get them..

As soon as these come out, my hotchkis springs will be up for sale. I spend too much $$ on photo equipment to EVER have a grand or more just sitting around.
