Is this damaged CF Hatch worth the price?
Planning on buying this for $170.
It needs major work including re clearing.
Per seller: "It needs to be re cleared and the bottom where the lock goes needs to be fiber glassed. Glass is perfect just a scratch on the tint. No center garnish (it broke so I used the oem)"
My friend owns a shop and told me its not worth the price.
What do you guys think?

with the damage already done to it, it will make it weak, so when you go to close the trunk something make break or it can get all cadawanky on you. i'd save up and buy a new one. yes it's more pricey, but you wont get a hatch that was treated like crap. if it's out of your price range, then don't worry about it, you don't save a whole lot of weight, you'd be better off removing your back seats instead.
here's a new one for just under $400 before tax and shipping
