hello I have a 2008 Scion XD (tony stark iron-man themed) and I am trying to decide whether to supercharge it or turbo charge it. I love she style and shape of the scion xd. Anyway be it i throw 100k on this car what is going to be the most effective way to create the coolest sleeper car out there. question number one my car currently has the 2zr-fe motor which is decent for a grocery getter, it has some potential, would it be better for me to put a more powerful motor in the car. if so what motor should I use? I was thinking about the 2zz but from what i have heard it is notorious for being fragile. I do not want to slam this car and have the block crack day one at the track. any recommendations? again I'm curious of the possibilities not what is logical or economical. The next thing I am curious about is wheel sizing. I eventually want to AWD the car, again not economical or easy but I am going to do it. If I lower the car with the standard TRD lowering springs can I put 18x8 rims on the car if so then what is the optimal size tire (preferred Michelin). Next, back to the engine portion with your recommendation on engine block what transmission would be good for it preferred stick shift. (NOTE: will be AWD) any possibilities for right hand drive as well? lastly with the AWD and upgraded block and transmission i want to choose a form of forced induction either turbo or supercharger If i use my current engine I know the 2zr was use in the 2012 lotus Elise (supercharged) is that a plausible thing to take that supercharger. if you know of a larger/more powerful engine what would you recommend turbo or super? I would want to build the block stronger pistons, sleeves to strengthen to block. anything and everything to improve the engine and prevent problems no matter how I drive. 18+ lbs of boost? Roll cage? the last thing would be how to make this vehicle structurally sound. keep in mind i love the look of the XD body kits are awesome but under the exterior i want something that could get into a fat accident and be structurally sound. If I had some metal bumpers or ram bars around the car I would be OK with that i like the look of the ram bars it would protect the body kit and it wouldn't matter if i kissed a barrier or something. anyway thanks for reading all valid input will be appreciated. I am not concerned about the cost if you think I am wasting my money, find another thread. I do not give a damn about your simple minded opinions. I will update with pictures.
