Normally Toyota engines tend to last a bit more than that before it needs a new engine. But needs to be properly maintained. change oil/ tune up.

Broken the valve to my 03 Corolla at 73k and got another used engine.

My 08 xd bought March 2008 has 151,083 miles as if January 1, 2012. This baby has been good to my for the most part but I've had the water pump replaced at about 100,000 miles and the alternator replaced at 85,000 and 4 more after that the bearings keep going out (PepBoys did the work).

If the bearings keep going out on the alternator .. either the units aren't up to spec..
or the belt has too much tension on it which causes the bearings to fail..

Just a little over 37,XXX miles, second owner and have had the car for nearly two years this summer. I'd like to say it was purchased with 14,XXX miles. Don't think 23,XXX miles over 2 years is much compared to some of y'alls mileage lol. No major issues yet, only kept up with the oil changes, front brake pads replacement, but the clear coat on the roof is starting to peel off..

Default 100,000 Miles and running strong

Howdy Folks,

Well I just turned 100,000 on my Scion xD Super Commuter!

It is still running strong. Never had an issue with it. Change the oil religiously every 5,000 miles.

I've gone through several sets of tires. The stock tires are horrible, but were the only tires available to the Scion for a couple years.

I now run Yokohama Avid Ascend tires. LONG LIFE.

Headlight bulbs are tough to change until you figure it out.

Hey TinyTunerz, It is great to hear about the positive experience with your xD. Though i am only at about 8,000 miles right now,
it's reassuring to hear about high mileage stories like yours. Do you use synthetic oil? Can you give us a review on the Yokohama Ascend's.

They are one of only a hand full of tires that come factory size (195/60/16), so it would be awesome to hear about your experience with the Ascend on an xD.

Uhhh yeah... I'm going to be at 100,000 this week.

Purchased in October 2007. I commute to work.

No significant problems *KNOCK ON WOOD*... I take care of my baby.

@TinyTunerz - how many miles are you getting out of those tires? I'm in need of new ones... last time I went with Toyo and I've gotten about 60k out of them.

113, 924 miles on my 2008 xD. Bought brand new in March 2008. Been good except for a few issues.

Crankshaft got replaced at 60K
Disturbing jerking and slamming into gear developing now after 110,000K

Hopefully nothing serious. I'm getting ATF replaced for the first time here in a week or so.
I've kept this baby seriously mint inside and out. Hard to do where I live in MN.

Default mileage

2012 with 160,000

process server for the courts

little under two years

before this one had 2008 with 220,000

had to replace one rear spindle on it...but the engine drank oil...Toyota said is was all within their limits so when I went to trade it in ...and they started to balk about the value due to the little engine problem ...I reminded them it's operating within Toyota's limits

Toyota said that consuming two quarts of oil ...between oil changes was an acceptable limit !!!!!!!

2010 xD bought new. 376,000 miles had trans replaced under warranty at 90,000 miles. Had to replace interior blower motor three different times. Now need to replace charcoal canister in Evap system.
Just today temp light is doing crazy things, Toyota says it's not the water pump, sensor, or thermostat. Probably going to pull thermostat today and see if it is working properly.

2006 xB

325,000 and running strong. No drive train mechanical issues whatsoever. Religiously changed the oil and flushed trans.
Changed plugs and flushed radiator. Still get up to 35 on highway if kept around 65 and drive is flat.

Speaks to the motor and benefit of regular maintenance.
