Directed to you guys and gals who have the TRD on the tC. Many questions...if you can answer some of em..or all! Thanks.

1) How much did you pay? Around $3200? (I wish it was like $2400...they would def sell more)
2) Is the Supercharged version quick?(not fast obviously...yet)
3) Does the tC really have good suspension like the reviewed?(I test drove one...but not really to its potential...pfff)

Anyone have those M2 headers? Anyone dyno them? Do they actually produce est. 20+whp and wtq??? It seems so off, seeing how others I believe produce 10 or so...

5) Best headers? Alphaworks? Does RandomTech make any?
6) Good bassy sounding exhaust? With good gains?

That should be it...I only ask cuz I either will get it S/C or get stage 0 ZPI....sure ZPI is cheaper/more gain, but void warranty and I might mess something up, knowing MY luck at times...

I was asking about the headers, because if they actually did do gains of 20whp and wtq about....should see S/Ced tC hittin 200wtq no problem and 220whp....

I dont want a monster machine...I would love...Like i said before....about 260whp and 250wtq...be great/fun! without working on internals....I was lookin at the whole meth injection...bah...I rather not...

First off, you should try the search button, there are a lot of great threads out there that can answer all of your questions.

Just to help you out a little bit. You are NOT going to get 260 hp from the S/C without doing either water/meth, or a air-water IC... Nor will you do it without engine management.

As far as headers go, they WILL void your warranty..
So if you are looking to get 260 whp WITH a warranty, it unfortunately will not happen..

your best bet is to go with a turbo kit to reach those numbers.......

Yea ....I would manage my engine...i thought maybe find tuning, S/C, new CAI intake with it, headers, hiflow cat, n exhaust might be able to get around 250whp...but blah to meth...

Might as well just get stage 0....cheaper...not too hard to do...no pipes or intercooler to worry bout,haha...

I paid 2950 + shipping, so $2997 shipped to WA for my Supercharger. My dealership charged me $445 + tax for the install, and additional couple of bucks for oil.

As quick as you need it to be. Even turbochargers are only quick. When 127MPH starts becoming an actual barrier for the car, then you could call it fast.

Curveball question. The suspension works and can always be improved via sway bars, strut bars, coilover setups, wider tires, mathematically calculated lowering, all that jazz

I have the MMW headers with the Supercharger. They will not give you 26 horsepower. That dyno is a comparison of a completely stock tC and a tC with their intake, their headers/s-pipe, and an exhaust.

At this point, I'd say a header is a header. there isn't enough of a difference between them to make such a distinction of 'best.' Regardless, if you're adding a header to your supercharger setup, get it ceramic coated before your supercharger is installed.

The MMW header, however, is the only 4-2-1 design currently available. Better for power throughout the band, whereas the 4-1 models only show their gains up high in the RPM. Which is nice if you're a drag-****..but for every day driving, no real effect but noise.


6) Good bassy sounding exhaust? With good gains?


Like headers, in terms of power, an exhaust is an exhaust. The only noticeable difference between all of the setups is the sound. With the MMW header/s-pipe, I run a Magnaflow exhaust I picked up from CreativeCompacts. It sounds pretty good with the supercharger on there, was rather abnoxious without it though. But that was mainly due to the header.





It all depends on your goals. If you have the know-how, the willingness, and more importantly, the money, to maintain and fix your car, then you'll probably enjoy a turbocharger setup.

however, if you don't know a lot about cars or don't have the kind of money it'd take to reliably maintain a turbo, then the supercharger is your best bet. You get less power, yes, but you keep your factory warranty. The aftermarket headers are currently being blamed for an oil seal problem, but if you take precautionary steps they will have a harder time trying to pin it on them. At least that's what I'm hoping, since that's what I did.
