How do you remove the outside rubber moldings on the doors at the bottom of the windows????

 

roll windows down. then pull up, very hard.. they will come up.
i found it easy to start at the rear end of the door, get that end up slightly enough to get a finger in there, or a nylon trim puller,then just work it to the front, be carefull though to pull straight up, and not to pull the strip away from the door and up.
there is metal in there and it will bend if you pull it away from the door "out" and up...
after you do one, you will see how easy it is to do the other one.. at first you think it isn't going to budge, but it will, they just snap in..

 

Yeah, I bent the passenger front one, now there is a bump in it it was the first one I did, the rest were easy. Try the back ones first, they are shorter and harder to bend. I used a metal forked panel removal tool.

 

after doing these a few times, i learned that the best way once you get a feel for how they come off is to stand outside the door, and grab them with both hands in the middle of the strip, using your thumbs on the outside, and just the tips of your fingers on the inside, then a good high pressure yank straight up and they should pop off..
if you can't get them to pop off like that, get a trim puller or a flat bladed screwdriver and wrap it all up in electrical tape. get under the strip and pry it up slowly and evenly. personally, i would try yanking and yanking untill i got results, thats my motto (no pun intended)... i would be too scared to get a screwdriver close to my paint, but done properly and SLOWLY you can get them off in the manner with no damage to your paint.

 

Start with a window molding removing tool, it has a screwdriver handles, a straight rod, and then 90's with a pokey end. You will then stick it between the ledge of the molding and the inside of the door, then rotate the tool towards the window to pry the ledge away from the door. When you do this, you can start pulling the molding up, without damaging or bending it.

These tools can be had at Auto zone for just a couple of dollars.
