I find that hard to beleive, I have a Echo Hatch (they won't give us Scions yet! in Canada) it weights 2000lbs with the same engine and slightly higher numeric diff ratio's and the best i can do is 16.5 on a G-tech, but that's at 2000ft elevation.

Well you have to remember one thing, Motor Trend Drivers use better equipment and squeeze #'s out of cars every day, thats their job. Its hard to match magazine numbers, but on the other hand, the xB is no slouch in 5speed. Just today i killed an old BMW 325i.

No they use 2 drivers to do all the 1/4 mile testing to get consistent results. There is a primary driver and backup.

Mosaic filter in Photoshop should do it.

Yes it is all driver. If your saying it's hard to match it, then you have to practice driving more. That kind of talk makes it seems like your down talking yourself as well as everyone on the board. I myself thought magazine number were harder than ____ to hit. Then I matched them, and in some instances beat them. Go figure.

You also have to remember that other half of the track can add some room for error..

Depends on the car. If you are trying to match 1/4 and 0-60 times for a Mustang for instance then, its definately possible. The road they use is equal to a decently worn street. It is supposed to simulate "real world" driving, not track times.
