Question Light size for automatic trans shifter

I've searched the 2G tC forums for an answer to this and I have turned up nothing. A few people have mentioned it, but no one has given an answer. Has anyone with an automatic found out what kind of light is illuminating the gear selector? I'm currently working on a full LED swap to white and this is one of three loose ends that need tying up. Is it a drop in bulb like a 194 or a 74, or is its something that will need soldered?

Isn't the stock bulb white to begin with? There are just color filters over the Gear Indicators

The bulb appears to be either and incandescent white, or like the HVAC bulbs, white with an orange filter. I'm wanting to swap it for a cool white LED to match everything else in my car.

It's a drop in bulb 74. With me doing purple I also added a small led strip and tapped into that light. But yes 74 is the bulb

Thanks a million! Now I haven't opened up the center console to see the space, but would there be room for a non standard size bulb? Like one that has a bunch of LEDs on them. I'm just concerned about even light coverage.

that may work.. i just have the one that looks like a glass bowl on top of it or whatever. worked good when i had the green leds installed in my car. also know that P R N D 1-2 are colored themselves so if you go with a white. it will just brighten whatever colors those are.
