Default Push Button Start/Factory Remote Start/Manaul Tranmission

Is this combination possible using the Factory Remote start for a 2012 Scion TC??

I was looking at this kit http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...&parts_id=3871 as it doesnt say anything about being used for just automatics. And yes I am aware of the dangers of remote car starters on standards.

Thanks

Just make sure you wire the Neutral switch into the system...otherwise..everytime you sit down with your keys in your pocket..your car may decide to move a few feet :ohnoes:

Push Button start doesn't have anything to do with the issue here, so don't worry about that. Only the interface is different. how the car actually starts is the same as with a key.

The only thing you have to figure out is whether you can bypass the clutch requirement and if whoever is installing it for you is willing to do it.

it says right on the description for automatic transmission only. i believe the viper systems work on manuals.

Did it with an aftermarket already, there is a thread about it on here. Used a viper remote start w/D2D capability and the DBALL module using the toyota TL4 firmware.

With the factory remote start I believe the car shuts off when you unlock it and you have to start it again.

If you have any questions PM me or message me on Facebook.

EDIT:

I forgot to mention I did this on a manual RS7. Use a relay to bypass the neutral safety. There is a tech doc from DEI which is linked in the wiring information on Directechs based off of my install (I was the first one to do it).

And doing the install on a push button vs key does make a difference as the key is 40bit encryption and the PTS is 80bit. The wiring on the PTS is different also.
