Default I just noticed somthing about my tires...

3 of them are yoko's and one of them is a potenza. The front passanger side tire is the potenza. the other 3 are yoko's. Do all 4 tires need to be the same? I think its kind of weird that they put 2 different kinds of tires. does anyone else have 2 different kinds?

lol. yes it is weird, but as long as they are the same size you'll be okay.

The tread pattern on the yokos and potenzas are exactly the same, so I wouldnt worry about it.

You should be fine. It's always best to have the grippier tires in the rear so that you don't fishtail.

it was kinda. but there is an old saying in the car building business, "don't want one built on monday or friday". monday everyone is hung over and friday everyone got paid at lunch and is drunk in the afternoon....jk, that's american cars.

seriously though, i believe this happened at the dealership during the pdc (pre-delivery check). they found a problem in the other tire and only had the potenza in stock. no one told you about it however. (personally, i'd go make an issue about it...."hello?! i have three yokos and one potenza?!....just me).

now that you mentioned it, i think you are right. Because the dealer told me that the lower part of the bumper on the right side of the car (by the tire) got damaged during delivery. They didnt mention the tire, but that probably got damaged along with it. They fixed the bumper, and i guess they changed the tire also.

Yeah, I would want all the same tires (Not that it is really an issue as far as safety or anything) when buying a brand new car.

by me, when they inspect your car, they check to make sure you have the same tires on each axle.
grip or water sheding might be diff, and cause the car to behave weird under certain conditions...

so i might go back and have them put a matching set on.

..if u drive a rear-wheel drive.
u want ur grippy tires to be where the power's coming from.

Agreed

Even the newbs at the tire shops will tell you to put the grippy tires on the front of
a FWD car!

Dude, MOST of your braking and ALL of your power comes from there.

If you are swinging your rear out out of control, you need to be looking at your driving,
not your tires!

if you are going to mismatch tires just make sure the tires on the front match and the tires on the rear match you will be fine
