Default Hook Pioneer XM tuner to Stock H/U

Woo! I just got this e-mail from one of the tech guys at Blitz! I mentioned the possiblity of a group sale and they may be interested...but that I should e-mail him towards the end of the summer as the product gets closer to the release stage...

From my desk, I can see the Scion Pioneer radio sitting in the lab. I am not entirely sure when it will become available though. Please check back with me the end of the summer for more information.

Thanks,
Marc Speziale

Which will mean we'll be able to get XM through our Stock headunit without paying the outrageous fee for the factory XM unit.

I heard the stock setup sucks... You can't preview channels..and there isn't a lot of onscreen info...

thats right you can't preview channels...but this isn't the stock XM unit...what blitz does is make an adapter so that you can take any of the XM Add-Ons and plug it directly into the head unit...no FM Modulation needed...for instance you could add the Delphi skifi in your car and it's audio would play through the head unit...the adapters usually run about 100...plus a sky fi would run prolly 150

there is a list of all the adapters for toyota radios...now the Scion one is a little different and thats the one they are working on...I'm in the same boat you are...I have a pioneer GEM-X900 which is an add-on XM tuner to XM Ready Pioneer Radios...so it should work...
