Default Any tC2 owners buy the Bluetooth dealership option?

Talking about the "BLU Logic" Handsfree system you can get as a $299 dealer option on the tC with any of the radios.

Any of you bought it? Do you like it? Is it worth it?

Does it do any of the fancy features like tying in your phone book, voice dialing, etc?

Asking as I'm going to look at a new tC this weekend and after buying my xB in 2005 I'm really not planning to buy any dealer options, so many better aftermarket choices out there. Heck for $300 I can get a nice touchscreen headunit with bluetooth (a2dp) from crutchfield/amazon.

I didn't, my dad bought me this for like $70 a year ago, and i still use it now for my tC. But they have gotten much cheaper now.. The quality of the sound coming from the speaker isnt the best, but i hardly talk on the phone while i drive so $70 was a much better route for me!

my parents have it on their rav4, and IMO its a nice system, just limited. while other cars the bluetooth is integrated with other gadgets, this only connects to phones and does nothing else. it can connect up to 5 phones. not many fancy features, or atleast i dont know how to get to them.

i like the sound quality on both ends and its pretty cool sometimes where it feels like your talking to your car.

There's no caller ID. That alone kept me from buying it. Go aftermarket.

Phone only? So just to be sure, you can NOT stream audio to the radio from a phone?

...and no caller id? bleh. Research, always a good thing to do vs sitting in the dealership deciding on features.

It comes standard on the tC in Canada. I've been using it for about 4 months now and it has it's pros and cons depending on how often you use it. You can stream music and control the stereo from your phone. It does not have caller ID (actually one of the most annoying things about it). I believe it works up to 30 feet away. I find the audio quality is pretty good and people never have any issue hearing me on the other end. It also supports voice dailing as long as your phone supports it. Personally I don't think it's worth the $299 they're making you pay, but it's great for a standard hands-free option.

Hope that helps with the decision.

I did pay the money for the Blu Logic. Besides having a manual, I go too many places where I have to be hands free. Like squeeze said, sound is pretty good. Car is a little loud on the interstate, which makes it harder to hear people and for them to hear you, but I'm glad I bought it. I use it all the time and have no real complaints.

You can play audio thru it, but it does not go thru the radio. The audio settings would have to be done on your BB, iPhone, etc. Also, it only plays thru the front speakers. If you really want to play music from your handheld, you are better off using the hardwire to the aux input of the stereo.

Did any of you install this on your own (DIY)? Easy? Hard? Also does the Blu Logic unit store phone numbers too?
