Apparently they don't offer a cruise control for the 2012 iQ...yet. Would somebody East Coast be a dear and lend them your iQ for a bit?
Just noticed you live in Sunnyvale. I lived there for about a year ('72-'73) and attended Fremont High. I'm sure that area has changed tremendously since then.

Good luck with your cruise search.

same goes for the 1st gen xB I'm sure you can get a a/m one but I don't recommend it...These vehicles are meant for city driving and light commuting.

Rostra.com is going to release a cruise control for the iQ in late May.

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to stop in and let you all know that we at Rostra are now offering a cruise control system for the 2012 iQ. Please check out the picture below of the control switch mounted, click here to download the installation instructions, and feel free to call us at 800-782-3379 if you need a recommendation on a local distributor/installer.

Thank you for your interest!

My experience has been the same as yours. Id have like it, but overall the IQ was such a good second car for an empty nester that it wasn't a deal breaker. It's not just an urban auto though, it's a reasonable 1 or 2 seat runaround car for us country folk too.

Uh, I drive my Scion on long trips quite often. They cruise just fine. I have taken it on several 700+ mile trips and I'm glad I had cruise control (Rostra).

There is a company that makes aftermarket cruise control for the scion IQ and it is not that difficult to install. I actually installed it in my friend Eddies IQ for him
Someone even listed a picture of the kit in an earlier post.
