I'm interested in how long the stock motor will last under boost, I guess it will be a while before we have a decent amount of data points. Looks like this is going to be a nice kit though.

Okay everyone. I apologized for a long delay with the update. The full cat-back Ptuning exhausts is currently testing along with the turbo kit. In meantime, we will post more information once we release final pictures of the turbo kit along with dyno number.

Please be patient and it will be worth the wait. Thank you everyone.

The end result is always worth it. The waiting sucks though.

We apologize for the lack of updates, but we've been busy finalizing our FR-S/BRZ Prototype Turbo System. A lot of other projects, including our 3" Exhaust System, Go-Pro Tow-Hook, etc. were put in front of this turbo project.

As some of you may know, MrC purchased a 2013 Manual Trans Whiteout FR-S to use as a test mule for this and all other future projects.

Although we've been having a few issues with our programming cable, we did manage to mostly finalize the spring pressure tune. Please note that we are tuning on 93 PUMP GAS ONLY and NOT E85. E85 would definitely allow us to tune for significantly higher boost and power levels. Even with the direct injection, the engine is very knock limited due to the 12.5:1 compression ratio.

Anyhow, this initial tune was on spring pressure, which is 6.2 psi.

The final HP numbers and torque curve were nothing short of amazing for this platform at this low boost level. The baseline shown is for a bone-stock FR-S with just an Injen Intake. A completely stock baseline is about 160whp.

Road racing and heat management is always on the back of our minds when designing our turbo system, so we have design the FR-S setup similiar to our S2000 setup. It's a low-mount turbo to maintain the FR-S low center of gravity and keep the radiant heat from the turbo away from engine compartment as much as possible and in doing so, it allows us to run a pretty straight downpipe like our s2000 turbo system--you can see the turbine blade from the end of the downpipe

I know you'll want boost once you drive your FR-S. There's enough power there at ~6psi to spin the tires in first

Very nice! If I do get an FRS down the line (I really want too) that's a solid number to be at for a DD and plenty of power to have fun with. Well done! But that's what P-Tuning does!

if you guys really have an interest in this kit and are curious on it's details then you should head over to ft86club forum. very informative and well laid out forum. I used to always be on here until I got my frs and joined that forum. Coming back on here seems dry almost. When I have my PTuning kit installed I'll post some pics up here though. The wait for what looks to be like near perfection is worth it
