FR-S Stock Wheels mounted on tC1
Well, I've seen a few postings here and there asking if it can be done, but no one post actually providing all the information needed to actually do it. I just got finished mounting the wheels on my 06, so here are the details.
tC1 Wheel
17x7 +45mm Bore 54.1
FR-S Wheel
17x7 +48mm Bore 56.1
The FR-S has a larger bore and is inset 3mm more than the tC wheel. If you try to place the FR-S wheels on the front, the wheel spokes will interfere with the brake calipers. The rear wheels clear the calipers with no issues.
In order to clear the calipers and bring the wheel out a bit more than stock, I decided on 10mm spacers all the way around. A 5mm spacer will allow it to clear the caliper, but the spindle shaft will push out the center cap of the wheel.
I ordered the spacers (Hub Centric to Vehicle and Wheel Centric to Wheelspacers) from here:
http://www.motorsport-tech.com/4DCGI/wheel_spacers
Now, that I have spaced out the wheel, the stock length studs are no longer sufficient for threading the lugnut. I could only get about half a thread with the spacer in place.
I ordered the Ichiba +50mm (TO-12550) studs from here:
Once I replaced all the studs, the wheels went right on, with no rubbing or clearance issues. This is with TRD springs.

Hey I have a question about the amazon extended studs. Is the price for individual studs or a whole set or just one rotor?
Edit: Scratch that I can see that it's for single studs. Another dumb question until I'm able to call the motorsport-tech guys. It's a hubcentric ring and spacer in one right?
Thanks
