I was unable to find a current listing for the mirror lights on eBay. I searched the seller and found the lights for the Prius which I believe will fit the iQ as well. At least you can contact the seller and see if they have more available for the iQ.

The Powerbass USA audio system build continues. Gene from X'Quizit Designs did the majority of the work and I'm happy to say I was able to lend him a hand. There was lots of measuring and remeasuring to make sure everything would fit. The layout was changed several times. In the end we used a welded square tube frame for the amp rack and built enclosures for the subs and door speakers. The door panels presented their own unique difficulties since there is almost no flat surfaces. Gene hand formed the enclosures for the 8 inch mid speakers from aluminum and then used fiberglass to attach them. The stock locations were used with custom hand made speaker ring spacers and then custom covers were fabricated to blend the enclosure to the door.

The system is not quite complete, we are still going to add two more 8 inch speakers to the back with custom enclosures and replace the stock rear speakers with 6.5 mids and 1" tweeters.

The iQ was on display at the Powerbass booth at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Nevada and the system was a hit. I did the demonstration of the sound system for hundreds of people and everyone who heard it was amazed.

There will also be an Audison Bit One added in the next few weeks.

I wish to express my thanks to Powerbass for providing the equipment for this project and to Gene from X'Quizit Designs for all the hours of hard work he put into this build.

I made a trip out to Arizona for the Bring the Noize Car Show in Glendale. It was a 700 mile weekend and I averaged 33 mpg. Took home a trophy as well. Here are some pictures...

I went to the Freeway Series Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Car show today at Toyota of Pasadena. Had a blast with friends and raised some money for breast cancer research. Close to 300 cars and trucks.

HAOLEBUILT II won 1st Place Micro Car.

Yesterday I attended one of the premier car shows of the year, WekFest L.A. 2013 at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. This show is a lot of fun. More than 1400 cars apply for admission and only 400 are selected for invitation. Of those 400 there were 70 cars in the Scion class. HAOLEBUILT II was awarded Second Place in the Scion division. With that award the car also receives automatic invitation to WekFest San Jose in July of this year. I will be making the six hour trip to attend that show as well. Here are a few shots of the iQ at the show...

I attended AUTOCON L.A. 2013 at the Santa Anita Race Track on Saturday June 1, 2013. There was a Scion class including First and Second Gen xB's, xA's, xD's tC's and iQ's. HAOLEBUILT II won 1st Place Finest Scion. My buddy Monster won 3rd Place Finest Scion with his Second Gen xB. It was a bit hot on the asphalt, close to 100 degrees but a fun show all in all.

I installed sequential LED lights in my side mirrors today.

Easy installation, I was done in about an hour. The LED's are mounted behind the glass on the side mirrors and connected to the turn signal circuit.

Here is a video of the LED's in action...
