tc pushing 108k, questions about maintenance
the wife's 06 tc is about to reach 108k of mainly highway mileage. Besides a faulty water pump and dying battery, the vehicle has been great and reliable to this very day. I was just wondering what I should begin to think about in terms of preventative maintenance. The dealership recommended just about every fluid imaginable flushed for an astronomical price of course. Any ideas on how to keep this thing rolling smooth? thanks alot

Has any maintenance been completed on it? Auto or manual? Are you able to some stuff yourself? Either way, probably change out the tranny fluid (not sure if auto is a sealed unit or not, if not, replace filter too), brake fluid, coolant (can be done with change of water pump), power steering fluid, and spark plugs. Also, have the timing chain inspected to make sure it has not stretched or anything.

It's an automatic. I can probably do the fluids with a little searching on how to. Thanks for the heads up. You run all OEM fluids or are there better alternatives? I would imagine anything is cheaper than a dealership

All fluids yes including a radiator flush and fill; maybe not brake fluid unless you are redoing the brakes, u might as well; tranny fluid is a must for autos for the 100k mark. You can search for many threads about "transmission fluid" or ATF.
Power-steering fluid probably, and that's pretty much it.
