Another slow build thread - 2011 WRX 5dr *new rear sway 06-09-13*

Yeah I really put a lot of thoughts into mods for this car..even the exhaust was something I debated for months until I finally pulled the trigger..still debating on the accessport too..I kind of want wheels just because 17's look way to small in this huge ___ fenders..I already have the wheels and stuff picked out so it's just a matter of if/when and the money of course.
btw I have some bluebats overlays coming in for my tails so I can red out everything but the reverse lights..saw another WRB hatch at subiefest and fell in love with it haha. Should be here in the next few days!

Sounds like me, I debate over parts and usually get higher end stuff. What wheels and specs are you looking at?

Originally I was looking at 18x8.5 +48 advan rs in gunmetal..but when I found out I can get work emotion 11r's ordered in basically any available size I switched to that so I am looking at matte black work emotion 11r's in 18x9.5 +38..popular specs I know but they look great on the subies even on stock ride height IMO..not to mention if I do decide to go lower (.75in to 1in) the most I will need is a minor fender roll in the rear...tire size will probably be a 255/35 or 255/40.
I am also a huge fan of the work emotion line of wheels..probably my favorite line up. But again it's one of those up in the air things..I know what I want and I am constantly window shopping but it's a matter of when and if.

Just a little update on what I've been doing..
As for wheels I am probably going to hold off on that for awhile..a lot of changes may be coming my way next year (maybe new school/university, getting my own place..stuff like that) so until I know for sure what's going on with that I don't really want to drop $2k+ on wheels and tires..I'm also stubborn as hell so no used wheels or reps for me lol not hating on anybody just saying.
I have red overlays from bluebat waiting to go on my tails..2 attempts and several hours later and no success..the outer portion of the tail lights are a PITA..but once again.stubborn..want to do it myself...getting the technique down though.
Slowly but surely

I really want a subaru now! I almost traded the tC in for a speed3 but decided not too. Now i just really want a subaru, I love the look of them and I know they will be great in the winter. Only problem Im having (besides money lol) is finding one to look at and test drive. No one has one in stock.

Yeah, I know in some places they are definitely hard to come by. I want to mod this thing more but I keep having trouble finding stuff I want to do lol I bought a new guitar recently too so I am thinking about putting money back into my music hobby..oh well..anyway..random cell phone parking lot pick! lol

Its probably a good thing I dont have one since I would be obsessed about finding parts for it like i was when I first got the tC. lol my car is almost payed off so im going to see how it is to have no payments before i do anything.

lol I was honestly the same way at first with the WRX..but because I don't autocross or do any kind of racing, it's hard to justify getting anything I can't really use. Same goes with wheels - I love the stock wheels..do I wish they were more agressive? Hell yeah I do lol but it's hard for me to find a wheel I like more than the stock ones since I feel the design and color really compliment the car (especially the blue).
I also learned from a lot of my mistakes (well what I felt were mistakes) with my tC..so yeah..my .02

yea I feel you on that. Its hard to spend the type of money they want for some of these parts if you arent really going to use them. My first mod would definitely be an exhaust. so that means hours of looking at videos and looking for deals like i did for the tc. lol
honestly i think i have done good with the tc, havent bought anything i didnt like or use except for the ricer blue interior lights that gave me a headache after 2 weeks. lol I learned from my first car though. lol

Exhaust is a must lol that boxer rumble is addicting. I researched exhausts for hours (like you mentioned) before deciding on the COBB..I already knew I wanted the COBB but I wanted to see what else was out their and the COBB just seemed the best fit for me..that definitely took some research haha.
My tC was my first modding experience lol so I had to live and learn.
