Best Amp for this Sub?

Best Amp for this Sub?
I finally got the sub enclosure. So if I get this sub JL Audio 10W3v3-4 with this amp JL Audio xd600/1, would it be enough power or too much power? They also have a JL Audio XD300/1.
Also what would the main difference between a 2 ohms and 4 ohms sub? Does one sound better than the other? The 4 ohms have a better reviews than the 2 ohms.
Thanks

Why not just get this woofer / box set up? http://www.jlaudio.com/car-audio-ste...ration-2-07-up

As long as you get a class D amp you will be fine. the best option will always be to go with the same manufacture amp. That being said alpine makes an amazing class D amp but just make sure both the amp and the sub produce the same RMS wattage that way both are running at optimal RMS and you don't have to worry about blow your sub or anything crazy.

you need to know at what OHM's the speaker does MAX RMS watts and then you can look for a amp that will push it at the same OHM's and watts so you can get the best performance out of the sub

I would suggest going with the 400 watt amp as it will not have to push as hard to get the power level you need and you can just turn the gain down to match the power output to the sub. This also leaves you the option when you upgrade down the line that you already have the power there.

Getting an amp that's too big is not as bad as getting an amp that's too small. A properly gain adjusted amp will power the speaker to its best performance and usually not blow the speaker. An amp that is too small will distort and clip, overheating the voice coil and burning out the speaker. It will also sound weaker, not in volume, but in impact and definition.
As to 2 ohm vs. 4 ohm, it's not about sound, but voice coil resistance in operation, and which one you chose depends on how many speakers and the capability of the amp. If you're using a single channel amp and you want to use 2 speakers, you'll run 4 ohm speakers in parallel. If it's a multichannel amp, generally you'll use a 2 ohm speaker per channel. The reviews saying 2 ohm speakers sound better usually depend on the above, but without any real comparison on sound quality, just volume.
