Scion tC SP2 Exhaust System - Scion tC Exhaust System
GReddy Exhaust Systems are some of the finest performance exhausts available today. All Scion GReddy exhaust systems (SP2, EVO 2, G2, EVOTT) are complete cat-back exhaust systems unless otherwise stated, which do not effect emissions related hardware. Each specific exhaust system bolts-on, using factory mounting hangers from your tC. GReddy's unique straight-though muffler design gives your tC the perfect compromise between Power, Torque, and a deep, throaty Sound. Although mufflers can look the same from the outside your Scion tC, Greddy's internal construction sets Greddy exhaust systems apart. With countless hours of testing the performance and sound, Greddy's expert Exhaust Technicians tune each application by varying the size or sequence in the perforated tubing and/or changing the amount of non-corrosive stainless-steel mesh and sound-suppressing composite cube packing material within each muffler can. The quality and workmanship extends through the outer shell of the exhaust system. With laser-cut, computerized mandrel bent aluminized tubing, thick flanges, OEM style hangers, and a polished stainless-steel muffler can and exhaust tip, GReddy exhausts look as good as they perform. Each exhaust system type (SP2, EVO 2, G2, EVOTT) varies in the outer look as well as flow characteristic for each application. GReddy's high performance tC exhaust systems are the choice for you. Part # 10117040

SP2 Exhaust System by GReddy for Scion tC
NOW IN FULL STAINLESS STEEL! It wasn't easy to improve on the popular GReddy SP system. But through customer feedback from over 10 years of use and testing, GReddy redesigned the SP as a full stainless steel cat-back exhaust system that is similarly priced to the original GReddy SP system. The new GReddy SP2 features a 304 stainless steel muffler canister with extra strong 430 SS end caps that feature a deep, high polish. Large, high volume mufflers provide maximum flow with a deep, pleasing tone and are especially effective when used on vehicles with aftermarket turbocharger systems. The unique outer curled oval tip (115 x 110mm dia.) is embossed with the famous GReddy logo. Employing state-of-the-art robotic seam welding, the single wall canisters feature increased rigidity for maximum durability and life. With over 35 types of internal perforated tubes, each GReddy SP2 exhaust application is specifically tuned for the best combination of sound and performance. The new GReddy SP2 also features thick walled (1.5mm), polished 304 stainless steel mandrel bent piping for better resonance and vibration control and enhanced corrosion resistance and durability. New lightweight, flared and stamped stainless steel flanges are also used to provide improved sealing characteristics. The GReddy SP2 Exhaust System will initially be available for over 50 popular Japanese vehicles with more to come as they are developed.

Wow... This is amazing. I find it odd though that most websites advertise it as a cat-back when in fact its an axle-back. Why would they do that? Couldn't they get sued for misleading people?

this is from the Greddy website...the general SP2 muffler is a catback, but if you look on the list near the bottom, for some, including the tC's...is a rear section only = axleback

ok guys heres whats up. This info took me 2 days to gather so I hope its helpful to people out there looking for the right exhaust for their car.

The 2nd exhaust in our cars are located towards the rear of our cars. That is why almost all exhausts for our cars are axle-backs.... but since it from the cat back, its also considered a cat-back exhaust. So to recap; axle-back = cat-back. Samething for our cars. hope this helps.
