Default HOW-TO Anzo Halo Install

Yesterday I popped in some new Anzo Halo Projectors, and I took a bunch of pics in the process so I thought I would piece together a how-to. There are a couple Tech articles on how to get to the headlights, but nothing I could see that was specific. So, here we go!

**Generic Disclaimer**
You are responsible for your own car. Do this at your own risk. I am not. You break it, you buy it. Yadda yadda..

Things you'll need..

- 1 Phillips Head Screwdriver
- 1 Flathead Screwdriver
- 1 10mm socket
- 1 "clicky" wrench to put the socket on
- 1 set of new Halo Projectors
- 1 box of "T-Connectors"

let's begin..

Step 1. Look at the front of your box, this is what it should look like..

Step 2. Pop the hood, and look for 3 pop fasteners holding the grill in. As seen here in the green circles. Just use the flathead screwdriver to pop them up and out.

Step 3. The grill slides up and out. Now you have 3 more. 1 10mm bolt on either side, and a pop fastener in the middle, a little to the left. All circled in green.

Step 4. Look under the wheel well. There are two bolts. the upper one is to hold the fender on, the lower one it for the bumper, take out the one for the bumper, do this on both sides..

Step 5. Now you can carefully peel back the top of the bumper. Don't pull hard, just pop it a little so you can get to things. There are 4 screws holding the headlights in. Use your Phillips Head to take out the screws. 3 are found from the top..

And 1 from the side..

Step 6. Unplug the 2 wire harnesses from the back of the headlights and pull the assembly out, you should have something that looks like this..

Here is a pic of the 2 wire harnesses..

After you get both headlights out, this is what your front end should look like..

Now, depending on which projectors you have, this might be different, I got the Anzo Single Halo with eyebrow projectors, so of course I'll be using them as an example. The did not come with turn marker lights, so you have to pop out the turn lights from the original headlight assemblies, just twist them, and they pop out...

and ta-da!

Make sure to have your new projectors at the ready..

Basically, you just reverse the process to put the new projectors in. These are essentially plug-n-play, except for the halos.. So, here is a picture of the wire harness for the turn light.

I wanted to be able to have the Halo's on when the parking lights go on. So hooking them up to the turn marker lights is a must. The Anzo's come with an extra red and black wire sticking out the back. Here's a generic wiring guide for them..

Left Side:
red wire --> green/orange wire
black wire -->white/black wire

Right Side:
red wire --> green wire
black wire --> white/black wire

Once you have them wired up, they should come on. I mentioned that I used "T-Taps" as connectors, this is just temporary, they don't work that great, so I'm going to wire them up right later on.

And here's the final product!

Enjoy!!

That looks great. I see Tech Forum in your future.

Where did you get the lights from?

true, guess I was too blunt. the lights themselves look good, but the output is bad.

can you elaborate a tiny bit? Tape what up? the wires for the Halos? or the stock harness?

I got some new wire things today and i'm gonna redo the halo wiring maybe tomorrow morning, if i do i'll take pics and add it to the how-to..

I really like these specific headlights, I used to have the other sonars without the brow from Bbist but got frustrated over the fact for some reason I couldnt see the road at night really, even with the hids, they look great on yours, just wondering if I could get some feedback on how the lighting is or if your going to be running hids, thanks a million and great diy !
