Req: Aggressive wheel stance pics
LoLing hard on that celica. Most slammed cars look sick while being driven but that looks straight ridiculous. You can even hear the crowd laugh, and I even might've heard a couple facepalms
brand new fenders, havnt painted them yet.
Thanks for the input guys. might be looking into a 17x9 +25 instead of a 10. I doubt i can get away with pulling my fenders and i hate the "mexi-flush" look. i guess it would still be aggressive enough with the x9, right? Eventually I will be on 225/35/17 or 215/40/17 hopefully. think i could get away with the x9 and 225/45/17's since the offset and width wont put it past the fender as much?

mexi-flush ftl indeed, but Dmar you've been wrongfully miseducated...
please familiarize yourself with the chart and choose your words carefully
although the hellafail can be acceptable in some cases and should consider being revised...

I don't see that as being the problem. I have been following this thread for a while and finally at the point where i can afford to get into the stance game. I am simply trying to get some final info before I waste my money on something that will not work properly on the tc. As far as the not being very smart comment, I do believe that being in AP, the Gifted Program, and advanced classes throughout growing up qualifies me as not being a dumb person. I am just not experienced in the fitment scene yet, so I was hoping to get some good input from people who have experimented with multiple setups. So until you have met me, I would appreciate you not making assumptions about my intelligence. I have looked up to many people that have been posting in this thread, including you Hayseed. It is true that I am not "smart" in this certain topic, but I am sure you were in my situation when starting out and had questions. I am simply asking for good advice from more experienced people. However, I have no hard feelings towards you Hayseed. I am not a "drama" kind of person.
Haha I don't have your magical fitment powers. I'm kidding. I was just referring to if I was on 225/45/17's, I might not be able to drop mine low enough and get enough camber dialed in to keep mine from looking like mexi-flush on my current suspension setup. I was also referring to the picture that dam262a posted as looking kinda mexi-flush and how I don't want to look like that.
That is what I was worried about. I bet with some more camber he could get it a bit lower. Do you happen to know the camber specs on that car? It doesn't seem to have very much negative at all.
Damn son. AP classes. Special Gifted program. That ____ is HARDCORE.
If you're so smart, break out a ruler and measure. Its really not that hard, plus you might just learn a thing or two. Do some research on sidewall sizes and find out why no one uses 45 series.

I am not "HARDCORE," nor am I trying to say I am. I am new to the fitment game, and I am NOT an expert on it. That is the reasoning behind my questions. I understand that not many, if anyone, uses a 45 series tire. It is a fairly tall tire, and I stated my understanding of that in earlier posts. I was just curious if anyone had even tried. I am well aware that I will more than likely have to stay away from anything larger than a 215/40 or 225/35, but as I said, I was just curious. And as for the research, I have done quite a bit. I have acutally been following this thread for well over a year...acutally before I even had an account on SL. I don't see a reason for the hostility between us. I am trying to be a humble, chill guy...
Well do more research. All the info you need is in this thread. Otherwise you just look ignorant. 17x9 +25 will not be aggressive. It'll be barely flush. Stretch has nothing to do with how far the wheels stick out. Research, and come up with something on your own. Thats 90% of the fun.
Bro just get the wheels and don't put them on til u have the 215/40 n u will b fine 225/35 weak sauce on a 9 and do ur self a favor DO NOT put a 45 series tire period unless u wanna have buckled fenders n end up costing u more money than if u do it right the FIRST time
