Default My tC Build - 2nd Time Around

Hello everyone, my name is Tim and I've been a member here for awhile, but have been more of a reader than a poster.

I originally owned a 07 super white base tC and absolutely loved it. I did the typical list of mods and here's how it looked back in 2008.

Well a few months after those photos were taken I was involved in a hit and run accident on the freeway that sent my car spinning and flipping out of control. My car landed on it's side and I managed to crawl out of the sun roof. Thank god I only suffered minor cuts and no broken bones.

I walked away, but my tC was pretty much gone. Here's how it looked.

As you can see, it's pretty painful to look at. I was devastated and vowed one day to own another tC. Well last year I decided it was time and last June I managed to pick up another 07 super white off of a listing on Craigslist.

It was very well kept compared to all of the other tC's I've looked at prior which were mostly beat to hell.

Since then I have done a few things listed below:
• OEM lip kit
• Painted my waterfall and gauge cluster bezel
• Full interior LED swap (hvac, gauges, steering wheel controls)
• HID retrofit with mini H1 projectors
• Custom clear corners
• 9005 high beem LED turn signals
• VRD fogs with H3 high power LEDs
• RS3 tail lights
• RS3 front grille
• 08-10 lower grille
• Full red third brake light
• Short shifter w/ Blox 490 sphere shift ****
• AVH-33000BT head unit

Currently the car is on stock suspension, but I plan on getting KW coils, Hotchkis sways and Rays G-Game wheels.

This set up will be very similar to what I had on my first tC, but I'm going to switch up a few things.

I'll post new pics soon.

Damn Tim, glad you walked away from that, looks like one helluva crash. One good thing to take away from it is the tc held up enough to protect you.Anyway, glad you got another, looking forward to see pics.

The tC cradled me well and I was able to walk away without serious injuries. They never caught the other driver, but I'm over it. Life goes on and now I have a new tC to play with.

I'll give it a good wash this weekend and take some pics. Thanks fellas!

Sorry for your loss & congrats on the new tC... I've never seen a wrecked tC personally but I have heard a couple stores that are very similar to yours. It seems the tC always takes the brunt of it and leaves the drivers in tact. I was told a story about a year after I got mine of another owner catching a wall at high speed, his tC was totaled and the driver also walked away. I was nervous about the glass top initially but its track record (at least known to me) seems to be that tC's would be a Purple Heart recipient especially yours... you going to go with the same setup or switch it up a bit?

Here's a lil update:

My KW Coils finally came in from Germany. Took almost a month, talk about snail mail. We're in the middle of installing them.

I also got a set of front and rear Hotchkis sway bars as well, but I don't think we'll get them in today since I need to lower the sub frame for the front bar.

These are my tempt wheels for now. 18x7.5 +42 Rays G-Games 77w, similar to my old set up. I plan on going with something a little wider and with a more aggressive stance. Wheels are wrapped 225/40/r18 Nitto NeoGen rubber.

I'll have some pics later when the car is off the lift.

Sorry for not updating this thread sooner, but I've been extremely busy. The good news is that I've done quite a bit of work to the tC and will be posting lots of pics soon.

For now here's a teaser pic. I gave her a Lasik procedure!

Wish I would've saw this post months ago. I have a set of the Rays g-Games like that. Only difference is mine are the two piece with +35 offset. Need a little TLC but I'm looking too part with them.
