Default Help with AVIC-F700BT Instalation

Hi all, I am trying to wire up my new AVIC-F700BT and I have no idea where the orange illumination wire hooks up. I already connected the orange/white dimmer wire from the Scion harness to the orange/white illumination wire on the Pioneer harness. Does the remaining orange wire on the Scion harness also hook up to the orange/white illumination wire on the Pioneer harness? My second question is about the reversegear signal input wire. Is it necessary to connect this wire, and if so, where does it hook up to?

I'd like to thank all of you in advance for the help, and I am glad to be a new member of your online community.

i think the reverse is only needed if you have a backup cam.

sometimes the navi system gets confused if you don't hook up the reverse wire, however most times it's not completely necessary.

the best area to connect your reverse wire that i've seen is a pink wire behind the glove box.

as far as the illumination.. i can't remember which was which, but i only used one of the wires i think... i believe you can test if that wire is correct by going thru the navi and testing it though

Thank you for the reply, I've had no radio for two days cause I've been waiting to see where that stupid wire goes. I think I'm going to see how well the thing works without hooking up that reverse wire 'cause I'm kind of lazy.
