New XA owner looking for tips, tricks, advice ect.
Hello, I'm new to the forum and recently acquired a 06' Scion XA 5 speed with 66k on the clock. It was formerly the tow car for my grandparents motorhome. So far I've tinted the windows 20%, changed the original plugs to NGK iridiums, oil changed mobil one full synthetic 15k mile stuff, royal purple in the trans, and ground wire mod also relocated the battery ground from the body under the battery tray to the trans.
I've been researching wheels and tires hot and heavy and finally pulled the trigger and ordered a set of Drag DR23's in flat black from Discount tire they are being shipped in from Cali, non in stock locally. I chose them because they weigh 16.6lbs and the price at $102.60 per wheel.
First question: I'm torn on what tires to buy I like the 205/45/17 size. This car is my daily driver here in Oklahoma, where believe it or not we see all 4 weather seasons. Calling for a winter storm snow/ice next week.
Any ideas, recommendations, past experiences????
I do have a 4x4 truck that I can drive when we have inclement weather but would like to have the option.
Future upgrades: Gauges oil pressure, engine temp, and volts (can stand driving something only with idiot lights), billet grill upper and lower, shark fin antenna, fog lights, cruise control, ralco shifter and ????
Any tips, tricks, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
