Default Trim Rings ---> How Deep?

So I have researched trim rings for my 06 xb and Ive read almost every post on here about them but i dont know what depth to get. I know they are 15" and I only want stainless steel but they come in various depths. Any help? Im probably going to order off the internet so I wont be able to see them first. Anyone have any experiences? Thanks.

EDIT: Do most people that use these use stainless or just get the plastic?

They come in plated plastic, plated steel, plated stainless and just stainless.
If your using them on stock then no more than 1 1/2 inch

I just walked into a Murrays auto parts, here in Chicago and purchased the 15" rings they had on the shelf. They fit perfect...

Were they plastic or stainless though, cause I went into an autozone and they had plastic ones for 14 each, but I found a local shop that would sell me 4 stainless for one hundred?

Mine are stainless. Plastic seems too flimsy, I might break one with these stupid potholes here in Chicago.

Yea, stainless seems the way to go. I wanted to get them by Tuesday to suprise my wife by putting them on (she scrapped the heck out of the hubcaps), but I guess if I order in online, it would be cheaper, so I will have to wait.
