You lost me on coilovers.. I'm not car savvy by no means. I found xxr 522 15x7 with 4x100 pattern for $69 ea. They did look tiny though and thats what I'm afraid of. I guess I could lower it though.

compare your wheels such as from your 18s to I prefer 16s or 15s. What I really look for is the diameter. I do not like the huge gap from the fender to the tires and want to close it as much as possible. You measure the distance from the floor to the middle of the fender and that's how much "diameter" you have to work with. If you plan on lowering it, the take away how ever much the drop the springs will get you.

will 17x9 35mm offset with 225/45/17 fit on the xA? I read that it will not fit the front, but will fit the rear with spacers though. Can someone confirm it?

2006 Xb newbie - will 2000 MR2 15 inch fit without mods?
I just purchased my first 2006 xB. I previously ordered a 2009 xB and had the dealer do all the mods.
I want to upgrade the wheels from the stock steel versions.
Will the Toyota 2000-era MR2 Spyder 15 inch 5 spoke wheels fit my 2006 xB without any modifications?
(spacers, longer studs, etc.) (and without rubbing)
I am planning to use the 185-60-15 tires but may try one size wider.
Thanks.

On that note,
I have an opportunity to purchase a set of Rota Slipstreams in white, with the following tire/wheel combo specs:
Wheels: 15x6.5, 4x100, 35mm offset
Tires: 195/50/R15s
With the given tires, would they rub when turning up front on stock height?

18" wheel offerings from Discount Tire Direct
Started shopping around for wheels/tires and found that most of the 18" wheels which DTD states are "good fit for your car" have around a +45mm offset.
Looking at the start of this thread, I see most running 18" to have wheel offsets around 20-30mm. Is 45mm offset (with properly fitted tires) going to have issues rubbing?
Wheels widths are in the 7.5"-8.0" range, but that should not matter when it comes to rubbing on the outside - the offset solely determines that.
I have no idea what the conditions are for rubbing on the inside - never considered it, thought the real issue was rubbing on the fender.
Thanks

OK, I had the offset backwards. If some are running +20mm with 8" wide wheels, then 45mm offset should set the wheel further into the well, right.
So +45mm seems OK from the outside (based on what others see with +30mm), but didn't know if rubbing ever occurs in the inside.
