Default dezod mani and air filter issue

I'm thinking of getting the dezod log mani to run my gt37r
My issue is the inlet is so huge and my custom piping to the turbo is in the way for the inlet pipe to get over and around the battery
Iv seen people running NO air filter and putting a mesh net in front or some sort of short air filter

A How does this work with the the MAF
B How is performance due to the air being so hot near the turbo and the turbo NOT facing towards the front of the car to suck/ram in cooler air

people that do that have either a blow through maf set up (maf relocated to a charge pipe near the throttle body) or have a standalone that allows them to delete the maf.

Reminds me... I need to stop being lazy and weld up the maf hole on my charge pipe rather than just having an unplugged maf sensor plugging it haha. Also, I run an open turbo, I know its not recommended, but being so high up directly behind the radiator, not much is likely to get in it. I also dont daily my car though. As for intake temps, with FI, the intake temp improvement post intercooler from using no intake pipe vs a CAI is very marginal.
