Default Problem with Monroe struts...Help please

I bought Monroe struts with Tein S techs. My buddy was going to install them when he noticed that he didnt need to compress the springs to put them on there. Is this a problem? Has anyone had this set up? Do i need anything special besides(Monroe strut mounts,Tein s tech springs and the struts and shocks itself)? Please help. Thanx

oddly enough lowering springs rarely need a spring compressor O_O

you just need the compressor for the stock springs...

I just did a 1" drop on my 2005 xA using Monroe shocks. And struts. The car drives smooth and brand new. I didn't go wild because of the winter weather here in Chicago, so that's why opted for the 1 " drop. Car looks great on it's stock tires and rims. But to answer your question, I didn't need the compressor for the new springs, you just need them to compress the stock spring as already mentioned. Have fun!
