Default what color should i paint my car

so, my friend works at a body/collision/everything shop. and the boss just told him that he can work on his cars there for free. Which means my car as well. Which of course means i can get my car painted for free

my car is currently silver, and has a bunch of blue things on it. i was thinking of going matte black, but have recently ventured into the realm of a matte bright color.

i want to keep it a matte color just because i want it to be different.

thats a thread with pictures for how my car currently stands.

everyone knows what matte black looks like...

matte light blue

matte green

matte orange

matte red

those are just some examples. i'm open to all ideas. i'm just kind of toying with the idea of a neon ish color.

Are you wraping it or painting it?

If you have a shop to do it at for "at cost" then I would paint it.

Paint last way longer then a car wrap which will last like 4years and it will cost the same as painting it. Do a nice matte blue, not that light baby blue.

I was also thinking about painting my car matte white in 2 days but after reading alot of blogs and threads. Matte colored cars are nice but are a B*TCH to take care of because theres no clear or the clear is a matte finish, meaning that if you scratch your car in any way there is no way to buff it out. They also complained about every little finger print being able to show up, and water spots showing up after washing. So I hope this helps

For sure I'm going with a unique color. Basically all I'm going to have to do is supply the paint. Me and my friend and his friends dad who both work at the shop will all be doing the prep work. Then theyre going to take care of everythng else at the shop.

I was really leaning towards the bue or the green. My friend has a Lamborghini green tc, so I was going more so for the blue.

As far as taking care of it, that's kind of a moot point because the Toyota paint is crap and gets a hugesratch in it if you throw paper at it. I'm sure any paint can hold up better than the oem paint

Any paint is easy to take care of. Black paint shows every fingerprint and water spot too.

They make wax and washing products for matte or satin colored cars.
